John Bornsworth, principle and founder of Peninsula Environmental Group, Inc. is a resourceful and savvy environmental planner and urban forester. John is a Board Certified Master Arborist, Municipal Arborist and recipient of the Permaculture Design Certificate with fifteen years of diverse experience. He currently sits on the Washington State Department of Natural Resource’s Washington Community Forestry Council as an executive advisor of commercial arboriculture.

Mr. Bornsworth provides leadership and strategy to an interdisciplinary team of practitioners and scientists. He and his team develop goal orientated solutions to generate co-benefits within urban and natural ecosystems. With an integrated, holistic approach to urban ecology and green space management, he brings new perspectives to landscape design, urban ecosystem management and urban & community forestry management. Mr. Bornsworth is the on-call arborist for multiple communities, engineers, developers and tree services around the Western Washington.
