Ian is tribal member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and an experienced political activist and community organizer. He is passionate about local environmental and social justice and is dedicated to help combat climate change through large-scale restoration efforts. He brings an invaluable combined experience of environmental policy advocacy work, restoration ecology, and conservation and emergency response skills. He’s worked with a myriad of organizations including the National Parks Trail Service, Food Not Bombs, climate change advocacy groups, and Clallam County Conservation District. Ian’s hard work and motivation has earned him the Presidential Service Award in Environmental Stewardship. He is working towards an advanced degree in natural resource management and restoration ecology.
