We have installed approximately 5,000 willow and cottonwood live stakes/poles into the river bank of the Hoh river in 2021 and 2022. This is also scheduled for 2023. This project is a portion of the Hoh River river restoration project funded by the Federal Highway Administration and primed by Interwest Construction.
2022 saw approximately 95% success rates for our live pole planting. Even the poles too large to install, that we threw on the ground to compost, rooted and leafed out successfully.
