Our crew was asked to demolish and remove structures on a steep slope in Poulsbo. This included a 80 foot staircase, a 12×12 beach hut, and a beach deck. This highly technical project required use of multiple pieces of specialized equipment and advanced rigging methods.
Material in this project was treated in creosote or other pressure treatments, so special care was taken to remove it without releasing more toxins into the slope.
The slope itself was in accessible to foot traffic and 150 feet from top of the bluff to the nearest road. Heavy equipment could not be used due to the sensitivity of the natural environment. All the material was extracted from the slope using a high-line crane system and specialized rigging gear.
